Organized Chaos, Big Scale
“We call it organized chaos,” explains Steve Quinn, the company manager for Wicked. “We’re moving 10 semi-trailer trucks worth of gear. We wrapped up loading in Pittsburgh on Sunday night, spent about seven hours removing everything from the previous venue, and then transported it here.”
Familiar Faces in a Familiar City
Quinn notes that this is Wicked’s fifth visit to Rochester, so many locals recognize the routine. “They greeted us warmly as we rolled in, which reminded us of how well the community knows the show,” he adds.
What Wicked Is About
Wicked revisits the land of Oz long before Dorothy’s famous arrival, offering fresh perspectives on the origins of the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good. It’s a retelling that invites audiences to question assumptions and see heroes—and villains—through new eyes.
